Producing a Proto

With the printing of the prototype, the designer can now see his/ her design printed on fabric for the first time, which is always quite an exciting experience. We will create a small prototype A3 size silk screen. To test print a series of 300 x 400mm prototypes for the client’s approval we require ½ metre of the fabric that will be used for printing. This stage of the process often involves reviewing and fine tuning the depth or strength of the inks used. Once the final colours and design patterns are approved during the prototype process, we then move to the production of full sized printing screens to be able to start the fabric printing process.

The prototype can be couriered out to customers for approval, with an express service available for our international clients. We keep an actual copy of all the final approved prototypes in our prototype library as a colour matching reference.
